A few pictures from the days leading up to Halloween. I decided to make Tim's Halloween costume instead of buy it. It turned out really cute! Unfortunately, it had to come off soon after the pictures were taken. He kept pulling the felt dots off and shoving them in his mouth. The last two pictures were from a birthday party that was held at the Oklahoma Railway Museum.

Bowling with friends

I took Jackson bowling this afternoon with his friends Zane and Kylie. They had a great time! We had the place to ourselves for awhile which was nice. By the time we left every lane had someone on it, I think due to the fact it is fall break for the kids this week. Jackson bowled a 92 and got two strikes! Part of that score was with the help of the ramp but even when using that you have to send off just right to knock all the pins down.

Sending the ball down the lane

There was lots of watching and waiting for the ball to get to the pins....

Zane and Jackson figured out a buzzer will sound when you go over the line. That entertained them for several minutes.

Proof of that 92!

We had Jackson's birthday party over the weekend at Star Gymnastics here in Edmond. The kids had a great time. It is a place where they can take their shoes off and run wild.

Enjoying their cupcakes

Lining up to go to the foam pit

All the kids before they left to go home

Jackson finally got a big boy bike for his birthday. He picked it out himself and is pretty proud of it. I thought getting him to wear the helmet would be a battle but so far he actually asks to put it on when he goes out to ride.

Can you say little Donnie? I don't know if anyone else can see it but I think Jackson looks just like him in this picture.

I finally got a few more pictures of the boys together. I love the second one, Tim is really giving Jackson a look...

Jackson and Tim in the same outfit. Several people have told me that they see a resemblance between the boys but I am not sure that I do yet.

Here are some pictures of the boys at around the same age.

Some new pictures of Tim. I love the one where he is trying to look at the monkey on his shirt.

Jackson had his first soccer game on September 10th. Lets just say it did not go as well as we thought it would. The pictures I took are before the game started. Jackson started crying as soon as his coach put him in the game and didn't stop until we got to the car. I am keeping my fingers crossed the next game is better.

Last week we went to the zoo with some friends. Before we left we stopped by the giraffe area because it was feeding time. You can now pay $3.00 to feed the giraffes. All the money goes back to the zoo so it is well worth the experience.

bye-bye morning shade

About 1:00am last night we had another storm move through. The wind was unlike anything I have ever heard-that is saying a lot growing up in Oklahoma. Our wonderful tree in the backyard was snapped in half and our roof was torn up in places. We had water leaking through the ceiling, we caught what we could with large boiling pots. The power was off like most of Edmond but that thankfully it was restored by about 6:45am or so. I guess if this had to happen I'm glad Donnie was in town.

Not what you want to see out the kitchen window

This time of year wildfires are not uncommon in Oklahoma. This came pretty close to the house, within 1 mile. Luckily, we had some rain come in that night, not too long after it started burning. The rain really was a miracle. We do not get much, if any, this time of year. Although it did not completely extinguish the fire, it did help get it under better control. We were told at one point by an employee of the golf course that the fire was being blow towards the addition because of the shifting winds of the thunderstorm. We did get some ash in our backyard but thankfully none of it was hot.

We are trapped inside right now because it feels like it is 500 degrees outside. Poor Jackson is stir crazy, I am trying to think of ways to keep his brain from turning to complete mush. We have painted, watched Tim do some Tummy time and Jackson has practiced (and is becoming more comfortable) holding Tim. Here are a few pictures.

So here are some pictures of Tim. I am sorry it has taken me nearly a month to post them.
He was born at 35 weeks and 2 days. He spent 4 days in the NICU because of some minor breathing and feeding issues.
He was 5 lbs. 3oz when he was born.
He was 4 lbs 13oz when he left the NICU
At his 2 week check up, he was 5 lbs. 11 oz. He is now eating anywhere from 2 oz.-3 1/2 oz of formula
