I have to start off by apologizing for not updating this in forever!! One of my new year's resolution is to update it once a week (I promise!!)

Jackson got a bunch of new toys this Christmas, his favorite being a very large fire truck from Santa. It is definitely time to clean out some of the old to make room for the new! The problem will be making sure Jackson does not see me doing this. I know as soon as he sees me putting away toys that he has not played with in months he will suddenly have a renewed interest in them.

We went to the Orr Family Farm this morning with our friends. We had a great time, I did not expect to stay as long as we did! We arrived around 10am and did not leave until almost 3:00! They have a train that goes around the entire perimeter of the farm (we went twice), and a hay ride out to a field where the kids can pick out a small pumpkin.

Donnie traveled to Ft. Hays University (which is in Hays Kansas) a few weeks ago to look at a player. We were able to make the trip with him. While there, we visited the Cottage Lane Pumpkin Patch in Ellis Kansas, one of the best ones I have ever been to. It is a farmstead that the family opens to the public for a few weeks in the fall.

Jackson had a great time climbing on the hay bales.

The Hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. Jackson picked out a great pumpkin! No bruises, dirt or dings on it. He really loved the experience of getting out in the field and picking the pumpkin right off the vine.

The pumpkin patch had the cutest baby goats running free around the farm. They LOVED being petted. The little brown one in the pictures followed Jackson around for quite awhile.

After Jackson's "nap" today, he decided it was just too hot to put any clothes on. BUT, he wanted to wear his cool new boots a friend gave us. I cannot wait to pull these pictures out when he is a teenager.

Jackson went back to his Mother's Day Out program this morning. I look at these pictures and cannot believe how big he looks, he is growing up so fast. His two teachers, Ms. Megan and Ms. Nicole, said that he had a great time and ate almost all of his lunch. I have no doubt he is glad to be back after a long summer break.

We went to the Oklahoma Science Museum this morning. Jackson really loves this place!

Finger painting on a touch-screen

Jackson has moved on from the finger painting at this point, someone else has not...

The museum has an area devoted to trains. There is an actual old passenger car that has been decorated on the inside and several model trains that travel on an elaborate track. This is definitely Jackson's favorite section!

Jackson and his uncle Jerry. We get a picture of them together every year when we are in Tennessee, this is the latest one.

Our friends from the Houston area stopped in on Friday night. Jackson was really in love with their girls, Ashley and Ally. The ladies man t-shirt really worked out for the picture!

Jackson and I took advantage of the break in the heat and went to the OKC zoo on Monday with some friends. These pictures are from inside the Children's zoo. There are creeks and waterfalls that the kids can dig and splash in.
