First hair cut!!

Jackson got his first hair cut this morning. We took him to the barber shop where Donnie gets his hair cut. Kevin did such a good job with Jackson and his hair looks great! I kind of went crazy with the pictures but his face experessions were so funny. He did not even come close to crying but you can tell that he is not exactly happy with what is going on either. We were so proud of him, not many 13 month old babies are able to take it as well as he did.

We had Jackson's picture taken with Santa today. It didn't seem to bother him at all. He first gave him a "I'm not sure about this look" but it didn't take long for Santa to get a smile out of him.

Happy Halloween!

Jackson had his first Halloween party today. He had so much fun! He was pretty mad at about the hat but forgot about it once we got to the party.

Pumpkin Patch

Jackson and all of his little buddies went to the pumpkin patch this morning. We looked at the animals in the petting zoo and he got to go on his first hayride.

Happy 1st birthday!! (a week early)

We had Jackson's first birthday celebration with family and loved ones today because Donnie will not be here for his actual first birthday. We ordered the chicken alfredo pasta from pizza hut (Jackson loved it, he couldn't get into his mouth fast enough). Then we let him go at a piece of cake with chocolate icing. The pictures tell it all. I cannot believe he is already a year old!!

Swing

Jackson loves to swing! Not for long though, he wants out after about 2 minutes.

New toy

Jackson got an early birthday present. I had been wondering whether he would like something like this. I found out that he loves it! I guess because he can see a lot more around him when we walk. He will kick his feet and laugh when I strap him in.

I can't believe he was this small

This was taken when Jackson was 11 days old. A year has gone by so quick.

Nap-only one a day now

I have decided to quit battling Jackson on the nap situation. He is just to the point where he is down to one nap a day. As long as he takes a good 1 1/2 to 2 hr nap then I am satisfied with that. Instead of going down around 10:30 he goes down around 12:30-1pm now.

More new foods

Jackson is still doing great with whole milk. I am still giving him an evening bottle but he is not drinking as much of it so I am thinking he will be fine when I decide to take the night bottle away. I have given him tuna fish and Vienna sausages (he loved both of them) and kiwi, strawberry and cantaloupe as far as new fruits go. I had a friend recommend the Eggo muffin tops for breakfast and he loved those also.

Sleepyhead

Somone decided to sleep until 8:30 this morning!

I love this picture. Our friends came over this weekend with their little ones and this picture is of their oldest daughter reading to Jackson. He kept trying to look over her shoulder at her book so she decided to read it to him which he really loved. He stood right next to her the whole time and listened.

Jackson and Taylor's morning at the Oklahoma City Zoo

We got to go back to the zoo this morning. Jackson is getting old enough to really enjoy it, he notices so much more now. It was nice and cool outside so the animals were more active. Jackson really loved that he could get right up to the glass and see some of the animals close up. I am so thankful the weather is starting to cool down some so we can start going again more frequently.
